Dear Friends,
Grief Recovery Groups are for those in need of moving
through the difficult time after a loss... any kind of loss.

"Emotional pain is not a sickness. It is our natural
and healthy response to loss, discouragement,
disempowerment, change and adversity."

Grieving is a universal experience; it is also an extremely personal one.
No two people navigate the mourning process in quite the same way; neither does any one individual mourn different losses in the same way.

This six-week series enables participants to better understand the grief journey and learn that they are not alone. Together with the facilitator, the passage becomes a partnership for grief expression and reclaiming your life.

Susan Madison serves as Director of Pastoral Care at First Unitarian Church of Dallas. She holds an MA in Pastoral Counseling and is a member of the International Association for Death Educators and Counselors.

Heather also recommendeds:

Grief Recovery assists in the healing of loss. We may grieve the loss of a loved-one, a job, a relationship, a home, a pet, an old dream, physical capability, a grown child, a family, etc. Whatever has caused your grief, this class offers information, resources, support and fellowship. We learn the human response to loss and how to complete the stages of grieving.

Participants discover the importance of depression, guilt, fear, anger and sadness as well as how to move through and beyond these natural emotions. Find support and resources through sharing, meditation and prayer. Honor your journey through acknowledging the loss, letting go of the past and turning to your new beginning.
