Heather's
model for human empowerment balances six interdependent areas
for health: physical, instinctual, emotional, mental, spiritual
and relational. She advocates that society currently over-values
mental or intellectual aspects, thereby neglecting mature, balanced
experience and expression on the other levels of being.
Heather Carlile
is a graduate of the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada with a Bachelors degree and of Amberton University in Dallas,
Texas with a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. She completed
her internship as a professional counselor under John M. Talmadge,
M.D.
Dear Visitors
to My Web Site,
I take advantage
of my own experiences in life as well as my schooling in psychology
and my on-going reading and exploring to continuously develop
new counseling techniques. My resources are constantly renewed
with the plethora of new knowledge and writings available every
year in this pioneering profession (see Ken Wilbur's new book,
Integral
Institute).
My most recent
work has taken me into teaching a synthesis of archetypes (or
roles) from the private and the personal (see my Fairy
Tale exercise from ReWriting Your
Future), to the cultural and universal (see Spiral
Dynamics).
I designed
this website to be useful to you even if you can't come to see
me in person in my office in Richardson, Texas nor schedule time
with me for a phone session. I hope that you discover something
here that helps you improve your quality of life.
I wish Illuminated
Living for you and your dear ones,
Heather
